From fast fashion to cotton, the list of ways we consume fashion that have an adverse effect on our environment and other species is a long one. But is there hope?

The fashion industry is known for creating trends, and now it’s working on its most important trend yet: sustainability. Saving the earth one thread at a time has slowly started to weave its way into the fabric of the fashion industry, and in recent years, new and innovative materials, products and brands that value and centre around people and the planet have started to emerge in the mainstream. These new brands are tackling a range of issues, from the use of materials and the conditions of workers around the world, too shaping consumption patterns and behavior.

With a decade of experience in corporate social responsibility, Annie makes sure that every aspect of Cotopaxi’s brand is leverage to generate a positive benefit to society and the communities the company touches.

Tina Bridges: CEO, Orlando Fashion Week

Tina Tillett Bridges Ceo and Founder of Orlando Fashion Week since 2012. She started Orlando Fashion Week to provide a platform for local fashion designers, models and talent within Central Florida. Tina has been in the fashion industry for over 40 years. She has worked in the apparel manufacturing, numerous retail organizations and was a professor in fashion at The international Academy of Design and Technology.

Kathrine Nasteva: Sustainable Fashion Strategist & Co-Founder, LOZENA

Kathrine is a startup founder, international development professional, and a sustainable fashion strategist. She led operations for LOZENA, an ethical luxury womenswear brand, achieving recognition with style influencers, publications such as Vogue and ELLE, and on the runways of international fashion weeks. Prior to realizing her own passion for entrepreneurship, Kathrine collaborated with women leaders in Africa and Latin America & the Caribbean to create impactful training and mentoring programs to help them grow their businesses.
